The Company

Station 8 Design provides its clients with a multitude of services, including website design, construction, maintenance and hosting. Specializing in small to medium sized promotional websites, S8D elegantly fuses the information a client needs communicated with a creative, original and practical vehicle for the web.

Creative Director Dave Carey launched S8D in 2005 with the intention of building a company focused on creating dynamic, interactive and intuitive content for the web. The company has gained a reputation for its imaginative websites - believing that websites are visually driven communication devices like films and commercials and should never be dull. This idea, in concert with the belief that websites shouldn't be confusing to navigate or understand, results in website designs that are both visually stunning and logical in their layout.

The Rank & File

Dave graduated from Emerson College in Boston with a degree in film. He worked in Hollywood on a variety of film and commercial projects before transitioning into a career in web design.

Dave lives with his wife, their son and their three feline companions in Los Angeles, CA. Outside of web development, Dave enjoys reading a book or two now and then, taking photos of the out-of-doors, sipping Wild Turkey™ bourbon on the rocks and traveling with his beautiful wife and handsome son.

Part of the team from day one, feline helpers Magic, Paloma and Zooey provide inspiration, aggravation, and professional guidance daily - they're also pretty good at typing random characters on the keyboard, knocking over hot coffee, and demanding salary raises.
